Bob Dylan’s carnivalesque Rolling Thunder Revue kicked off 50 years ago this weekend. It was the anti-rock tour–a sprawling cast of musicians and literatir–Joan Baez, Roger McGuinn, Mick Ronson, T-Bone Burnett, Allen Ginsberg– packed into small venues across the north-eastern states and Canada.
